Some good stuff down the field but ruined with the loss of Vettel and Bottas hitting Hamilton's car. F1 needs serious attention as it's just a cruise to the win at the front with some action midfield, but the tyre choice is just confusing. Too many passes were dependent on the life of the tyres rather than the skill of the driver ..

He did well, but he's basically driving last year's Ferrari, which was quick, and he's an experienced F1 driver.

Can only assume they have some vested interest in wrecking F1 even futher than it currently is. This season has been really pretty good so far but they're insistent on fiddling with everything all the time. It's really quite bizarre.

Yes and no - the latest wheeze is that pole position is decided by the aggregate of a drivers two fastest laps based on last years format for the last session.

Meanwhile viewers were left to a snoozefest of a race with the top three drivers keeping station and the only action coming from the midfield which was confusing as everyone was on a different tyre strategy so nothing was resolved until the latter stages of the race. Ferrari look to be in serious trouble - two races, two engine failures. Hamilton can't start properly, so this could be Rosberg's year .. F1 is screwed.

Watched quali for the first time last Sat. It's crap and needs changing back to 2015 spec. Currently more drama in a mortuary

Yes a penalty for being hit by someone else and it was already ackowledged to be that someone elses fault.
He's still my top tip for the championship if he can get his starts sorted.

Mercedes has made a statement to say it is nothing to do with Bottas or the crash which seems logical as Hamilton finished the race. I wonder if it's all about fixing Hamilton's sluggish starts with Woolf has attributed to a 'hardware problem'?

Maybe they figured that with him making such shit starts, they might as well fit a new gearbox, cos it won't make any real difference! Oh, and Rosberg quickest in FP1

That wasn't too bad a race.    Not sure whats up with Vettal, seemed to be acting like a daft kid afraid he had upset mum and dad.  Quite clearly he was in the wrong.  Someone should have told him to shut up.  Hope he apologises.

Best race I've seen so far this year. Should open up the championship nicely, too.

he wasn't in the wrong - he just wasn't right, it looks pretty different in the car, you can imagine how he sees it, kvyat came in way too hot for the space and overshot the corner, leaving Vettel nowhere to go. Without the ability to see all the angles such as overhead and track side cameras it's hard to see how it looked silly and risky.

That doesn't make him right at all, in reality Kvyat just pushed for a gap that was there and was just a little hot in terms of speed coming in, but he controlled it and made the corner, it's just bad look at that it backed up into a problem like that.

he's deflecting the reason for hitting Kimi, because at the time he didn't know how it looked and the Italian press are monsters in terms of culling Ferrari drivers.
