I've started Gen V and it's very good as well.

I started watching season one, and did some episodes, but I just found it too ...... unpleasant. May return one day.

I've just re-read the book it's based on (Bad Luck and Trouble) and it's a REALLY Good one. Really buzzing to see how the handle it. Should be cracking.

Filming already started on Season 3 too. 

Can't wait of the Boys either. Need to do Gen V beforehand.

They do tend to do something particularly gross and OTT in the first episode of each series.  Then it does get more story-focused.  With occasional gross interludes.

It is, and it follows on (time-wise, not in any direct storylines) from season 3 of The Boys.  At least I think it does.  Probably worth watching before season 4.

Trouble is, Gen V feels like a really long intro sketch for the next series of The Boys.

It's awful.  I love The Boys but I really struggle with that.

I’ll take Karl Urban’s expletive fuelled anccent over Don Cheadle’s frikin’ awful Dick Van Dyke impersonation in Oceans 11.

He uses a vary similar accent in SeaBeast, which is a kids film (on Netflix). I spent the entire movie with my finger on the mute button as I expected him to drop the C-word because I'd watched The Boys.

I enjoyed Gen-V but found it to be a LOT less funny than The Boys. 

The Boys is very satirical whereas Gen-V is much more serious, but then I think they had to be given that they're dealing with slef-harm, eating disorders, non-binary identity etc.
