This is exactly my experience.   I have two old RATs with the mojo chip and the Fat Cat does not really sound like either one.  The FC 10 is a fun pedal but not a direct RAT replacement in my experience.

Can't run them together though, so lacking the sheer horror of seeing hearing two rats at the same time .
