Board without Velcro

Time to build a pedal board. Most seem to be designed for velcro - which is not somwhere I wish to go, I'd rather keep them clean and gunge free.

There does not seem to be much on the market with this approach - what's the experience/options?

I usually string up about eight pedals by hand, with a PSU and regularly swap items out, so ease of this is key too.

at one point someone was selling links for this purpose if the whole start with a bike thing seems a bit much. If you swap pedals a lot it will eventually destroy your board I guess.

Aclam looks just the ticket - anyone have experience (noting the price tag!)?

The bicycle chain though is an excellent idea, cunning even!

Just use little bits of 3M Dual Lock (you don't need much) and a bottle of this stuff

I bought a kit years ago that had a load of these and some screws. Probably from axesrus or similar site. Never knew they were bike chain links.

Did great for me but there are 2 possible downdides.

As has already been mentioned it messes up your pedal board after a few years.

Second it that not all pedals have got screws suitable for attaching them to.

If anybody want's some chainlinks to repurpose let me know, I have a bikeshop and a steady stream of chains being replaced (a good scrub and the old chain will serve this purpose)

I've been looking for some rubber bushes with offset holes so you can screw them to a board then rotate to push against the side of the pedal. Most I can find are huge for car suspension etc. Not given up yet though

couple of strips of THIS T-track sunk into a bit of wood then some of THESE with some rubber bushes would do a similar job to the acclam board, there are many variations of T track, some can be made into frames so you wouldnt have to mount it to a board either.

I use the bike chain links, and for pedals with screw inset too far or on the side meccano is useful and readily available on eBay.

Another vote for 3M Dual lock, if its good enough for Dave Friedmans pro boards, it will hold even the largest of pedals:

Inspired by the Aclam boards, I've been thinking along the same lines. What to use for bushes though?

I used to use links and have loads if anyone wants any.
