Well you learn something everyday. I'd always thought the Top Loader version was a cover of a Thin Lizzy song - but now finally having heard the Lizzy song - I've realised I was wrong - the original was by King Harvest (nope - me neither) and the Lizzy song just shares the same title. Doh...
    ...she's got Dickie Davies eyes...

The only true test is “ can you play the song using a looper the whole way through “

I think that's a different question, ie "Which songs use the same chords all the way through", whereas this question was "which songs have the same chords for verse and chorus", which I therefore interpreted as excluding things like bridges or middle 8s etc from needing to have the same chords
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me

Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry. I've always had something of a soft spot for that song.

ETA many songs mentioned on this thread are among my favourites from the bands in question, particularly REM and James.

The Idol by WASP. A complete ripoff (both the music itself and the context on the concept album) of Comfortably Numb.

But it doesn't use CN's chorus, instead repeating the verse structure for its own verse and chorus - then a massive blatant theft when they get to the solo. I do love it though.

Hungry Heart by Brooce. However, there is a change of key to Eb for the instrumental break which then works its way back to the original key (C).
