Well, I don't have anything on on Sat 25th, so if there's a bass player needed it could be fun.
I haven't played in a band for years and I don't know any of the songs, so I'd have to do a bit of prep.
If anybody's up for giving "Carry On Wayward Son" (Kansas) a go, I do know that one, plus I can noodle my way around "Money" (Pink Floyd), "Roundabout" (Yes), "Vital Signs" (Rush), if they're of interest.
You are more than welcome to join us as we need a bass player (instead of guitar players like me who try to play bass!).

Great - it's just half an hour from mine.

(I'm a bass player who tries to play guitar!) :-)

Unfortunately I am not going to make the whole day, but will be there for the first half so I won't put my name down for any more songs. No big deal as i am sure others can step in, but @Neilybob if you can schedule me in for early songs that would be good :+1:

Without vocalists and a drummer the jamming side of things is struggling.

Does anyone have backing tracks to play to or do we just do a gear fest only?

Happy to go with the majority vote?

Hi, happy to go with majority vote, but I'd certainly prefer jam / songs in some form.

Sounds like I'm the only one coming that has some drumming experience? The problem here is that I haven't had time to learn any of the songs, and haven't had any practice for about 18 months due to time constraints and no space for a kit.

That said I'm trying to arrange a practice session out of home next week, and I'll see how things look then.

I'd still like to do Staying Out For The Summer on guitar (vocals a maybe).

Lonesome Highway and Evening Of The Day haven't generated much interest, so let's drop them.

Acoustic approach is a good shout as backup plan, as is backing tracks.

I've found this site, which does customisation on parts for tracks, e.g:

Seems nifty, no affiliation. They've got about half of the tracks on the list.

£2 a pop, happy to contribute to whatever if it comes to it. I'd rather spend the music fund for this month on a practice session than another pedal that only gets used a few times
