Bag/Case for gigging gear?

What do folks recommend for that 'other' bag with all the rest of the gear in.

Not a full flight case, but not a soft duffle bag.

Currently using a B&Q soft tool box but its broken and wasnt ideal anyway. I've looked around and there's a few 'DJ Cable' padded bags that might fit the bill. Not convinced they'll hold up to much use though.

The one case has all the Cables, Footswitch, Mics, Wah and other little boxes of crap. Needs to be at least 16in on long side.

I use an old F-Stop camera bag. Rectangular, top opening, large enough for all my cables including four way extension and my wah which travels “off board”. It also has a very sturdy and padded shoulder strap.

Hit your local suitcase bag shop or Market suitcase bag seller.
You’re bound to find something much cheaper than branded gear that will fill your needs.
Probably on wheels to 
Most towns have one.

Gator mixer bag. Extremely well made and has a handy front pouch for smaller cables and mics etc.

I use my son's old cricket kit bag.  Spacious, sturdy and with wheels.  You can pick them up for as little as £20 in Sports Direct.

I use a De Walt tool chest.  Screwfix regularly have offers on them

Fishing bags. Been using for them years, they are cheap, well padded, plenty of pockets and do the job,

I've been using one of these for years, very robust and a great size for cables and other stuff we carry.

This is untidy after band practice last night but i normally get two vertical stacks of coiled cables side by side with all the other gubbins in the holes in the middle.

Gator Mixer bag for my personal gear - works well and its easy to find everything. Still like new after 100s of gigs - i also hace a big toolbox for PA stuff that i then sit my amp on. Prefer the mixer bag
