All this talk makes me want to buy the gold odr. 

I just cracked out the mini Nordland I have which is the second I've owned and was considering selling (again). This time i cranked the gain and bass (neither to the max but higher than I was previously using them at) and it sounds great. Not sure why I didn't try those settings before.

One major difference though was previously i was only playing it with my tele and found it somewhat 'hard' sounding - but I think prefer it with a bridge humbucker on my 335 style guitar. Some great rock tones there.

In an unexpected turn of events, I have just switched off the bass cut on the ODR-1 BC on my direct-to-PA board, as I found it was sounding thin with it engaged. NB - that's with Strats and Teles!
