Relisting: Lush sounding Black panel AA1164 (Princeton Reverb) based amp. Purchased new from Vintage Sound. I think these are only stocked by Haar, and Proguitar.de in Europe so not common in UK, but VS amps are used by the likes of Brent Mason…

Hand-wired amp using top quality filter caps and electrolytics, carbon comp resistors, solid core push back wire, and custom US Heyboer transformers.  Rick also added grid and screen resistors (as seen in the Black Face AB763 circuitry). This gives the transformer more protection in case a tube fails catastrophically.

Specs: Blonde w/ Beige/brown/gold grill cloth, cream barrel head knobs, and a lush thick brown leather handle
Pilot Light Jewel: Whitish - looks blue in pictures (also have amber if preferred)
Cabinet Material: Dove-tail jointed solid pine w/Baltic Birch Plywood baffle and back panels

Controls: Volume (w/push pull bright switch), Treble, Middle, Bass. Reverb, Speed, Intensity, Dwell. Also external bias points so it’s a doddle to bias the amp at home when you swap/change the power tubes.

Effects: Large Pan, Tube Driven Spring Reverb, Tube Bias Vibrato (The amp uses a large 17" spring reverb pan that's the same size as the one used in the Twin Reverb).

Speaker: WGS G12 C/S

(based on the popular G12C, but with a smooth cone, felt dust cap. (WGS take on Jensen C12n but with smoother top end, more touch sensitivity, and an overall warmer tone. The Princeton Reverb circuit can be quite sharp and trebly, particularly when distorted. The G12C/S addresses this well with a more rounded top end. Some folk find the WGS G12 C/S a bit dark. I find this is only the case at low volume – as such the bright switch takes care of this at low volume, or if using humbuckers. The G12 C/S works great with pedals, and really comes into it’s own at volume.)

Power Tubes: (2) 6V6 Matched pair
Preamp Tubes: (3) 12AX7, (1) 12AT7 (all upgraded to TAD premium selected preamp tubes)
Rectifier: 5AR4 Rectifier Tube. Can be swapped for a 5Y3 to change sound and feel and drop the amp down closer to 12 watts.
Ordered with UK Voltage
VSA Custom Padded Cover and 2 button footswitch.
Combo Dimensions: 17" H x 19 7/8" W x 9 1/2" D  (32 lb)

Excellent condition – smoke/pet free home.

Price: £1300 (Straight sale no trades).

 Local pickup only (London). Cheers!

Bump for the blonde. Basically a Princeton Reverb, with a touch more power (15w instead of 12w), Middle Control (to replicate a blackface Princeton Reverb sound, set the knob to one o'clock). You want to scoop the mids a touch, turn down. Push the mids, turn up, and dwell - tailor that 'verb!

This is lovely. I'd be all over it if I didn't have a Rift that's very similar.

Cheers! We're certainly living in a time of incredible amps to choose from and it's great that so many different builders are offering slightly different takes and variations. The amp section on the classifieds is a bit of a candy store at the moment!
