Postage costs to Nothern Ireland.

Just sold a guitar on ebay, my listing stated no overseas and someone in Northern Ireland has bought it , i'm using parcelforce48 and was looking at around £16 will the postage be more ? If so do i take the hit ? Or cancel and have all the hassle of re listing and waiting for the 80% offer and hope i get accepted .

Cheers it states 1st and 2nd class no extra but i'm sending with Parcelforce48 so still a bit in limbo guess i will find out tommorow at the post office.

I've just used PF to ship a guitar over to NI (though with insurance from Overland Express) at the same price as to anywhere else in the UK.  Painless process.

They also do collections, which saves a trip to a Post Office with a large box!

This thread is a bit depressing, but depressingly predictable.

anyway, back to business. All I can say is that I’ve bought a shed load of stuff on this forum from sellers in England and Scotland (I live in Belfast). Every single time, I always offer to pay extra if they find that the postage costs more than posting to England, Scotland or Wales. But not one buyer has ever needed to  charge a penny more than the typical postage for a mainland based buyer.

(and in case I was being too circumspect, FYI, most people in NI would be gutted that anyone in England would consider them overseas).

When you said “overseas” did you mean not posting outside mainland Britain or do you mean “overseas” as in another country?
The DUP really need to be notified of this thread!
