I do everything in the VSTi initially, then render it into the DAW as separate multi-out audio tracks usually.  I used to drag and drop the MIDI, but the grid editor in the plugin is better designed for making edits IMO.

EZ Drummer users: do you make the arrangement in EZ and then paste the whole thing into the DAW, or do you drop in separate sections and arrange it in the DAW?
You can do either I think. I prefer to grab the midi parts and then edit them on the Logic midi track as required but YMMV

Are there any good EZ3 tutorials out there?

I do everything in Logic's Piano Roll, because I am faster with that than I am in the plugin.

I get on fine with AD2, I like the kits, the interface, the flexibility and the fills are very good. I think it's a lot to do with what people are used to. I haven't used EZ. A pal of mine has both and thinks the kits and fills are better in AD. Maybe try a demo of each, make your mind up from that?

You won’t regret it, EZD3 looks & sounds great. It’s brilliant for practicing & using as a songwriting tool. Enjoy!

Not had enough time on it yet (mother in law at home for 5 weeks). So far just sticking on some midi loops for practice
