I have 4 guitars:
- an ash-bodied, maple board Strat
- an alder-bodied, rosewood board Tele
- a flame maple semi-hollow 335 style
- an offset with mini-humbuckers and a Bigsby
I like to think I've got all bases covered for the styles I play. (I don't do/need high gain, shreddy stuff).Mostly (8 electrics and 2 acoustics). I play electric much more frequently than acoustic.
Do you rotate?
Yes
Are some specialist?
No, but they are all different enough to justify their place. They all play differently, sound different and lead me in different directions musically.
Overall, it is too easy to buy guitars and takes some effort to sell them, so that's how I ended up here ;-)
I rotate them regularly except that I am probably going to get rid of my Jet Telecaster soon as the neck just isnt for me. Way too thin. I love the Jet strat and play it regularly. I also rotate my acoustics regularly too.

I never owned more than one guitar at a time until 15 months ago, and all of a sudden I owned 3. It didn't make me happier nor make me more creative. I sold 2 guitars over the last couple of months and I'm enjoying having just one. This may very well change soon as I am building a partcaster, so we'll see

Mostly I play all my guitars ... my Jazz Bass only really for recording, and my Kawai Rock and Roll Star gets noodled a lot at work during coffee breaks.
I don't consciously rotate guitars - I rotate pickup configurations though.
Well my Ibanez 7 string is specialist at brain creaming metal ... as is my Jackson V - my Gretsch and Dynasonic Tele are Jump blues and rockabilly instruments ... I had a resonator ... but sold it on.

More or less, although it depends what you mean by 'regularly' :-) I have nine electrics and whilst I (currently) have a couple of favourites, they all get a run.
Do you rotate?
Not deliberately. I pick up whichever happens to suit my mood at the time.
Are some specialist?
I suppose you could call a Steinberger Synapse Transcale 'specialist' - by default it's a baritone fitted with heavy gauge strings and the active EMGs limit what I want to play on it.
