2. Only when I make a new one
3. Aren’t we all in some way?
1. Mostly, though I'll have moods where certain ones get priority depending on what I'm playing and what pickups are in them.
2. Not consciously, though perhaps I should.
3. Yes - besides dual humbuckers/ Les Pauls in standard tuning: 7-strings, Strandberg, filtertrons, Strat, low tunings.
Super Strat is at home with me.
Vintage spec Strat is at my mate's house. Who I visit weekly.
I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to
Since someone told me that nitro lacquer Gibson's gas in their cases leading to damage of metal parts I started to keep my LP longer than most on the stand, that was until one of my dogs nearly knocked it over, since then my Peerless jazz box spends more time than others on the stand.
I go through phases where I'll stick to one for months on end, then switch.
They're all different: JM (standard pickups), Tele (single + goldfoil), 335 (HBs), Yamaha SG (P90s)
JM build | Pedalboard plans
Pretty much, yes
Do you rotate?
Yes, depending on what I'm doing
Are some specialist?
All of them, arguably. I don't like having too much overlap, so I don't keep anything that doesn't do something better than all of the others.
That said I really want to sell 2 or 3 this year.
I play one electric most of the time.
Amps. I have three guitar amps and one bass amp. That feels about one amp too many.
Don't ask me about pedals.
I am in the process of culling in order to pay other bills. I could be happy on two electrics, the nylon and one amp, potentially. I personally would feel uncomfortable having more than I have now. I absolutely don't care what other people do, not should I.
I generally switch guitars weekly as I find it influences my playing except that 1/2 guitar which I am currently building. Though if I am in the mood to play a certain guitar then I play that guitar.
For me my strats and ES-335 are my specialist guitars that do a certain tone.
Then I play them and change my mind.
Play them all; many are specialist and some are on loan to my mate, as he wanted to try some out (think he has about 6 at the moment, mainly Custom Shop stuff and PRS)

No. A very large proportion of them are in places I can't even get to without moving a load of other stuff first (no, they're not in a storage unit like Grogg's).
Yes, I rotate between the few which are in accessible places when I'm watching the TV.
Not really. Even if they were, I'm not capable of using them in a specialised way.
Do you regularly play all of your guitars?
Yes- horses for courses. I have 2 strats, one modern active, one preCBS passive; a tele, and three LPs- one P90, one FR equipped and one standard.
Do you rotate?
I use what's appropriate for what I'm playing.
Are some specialist?
Yes- the Axcess is a Lifeson sig, so very voiced for shreddy stuff.
*An Official Foo-Approved guitarist since Sept 2023.
2 Not really. I tend to play whatever seems appropriate for the music on which I am currently working. Occasionally, I wilfully choose something that is contrary to those expectations, just to see what transpires.
3 Does a Fender Jaguar count as specialised? It certainly plays and sounds differently to the majority of my menagerie.
