I read about the incoming massive geomagnetic storms coming in over this weekend. The largest since 2005 IIRC.
Was hoping to see some atmospheric lights, but nothing was visible for me in the west Midlands.

No aurora borealis here in Southern Tasmania. (sigh)

But the aurora australis has been consistent this last week or so. :)

Everything still in the Red today, we might get another chance tonight, worth keeping an eye on, best time is as soon as the skies get dark and before any mist sets in.  AuroraWatch UK status (lancs.ac.uk)

We'd been down to the coast to see a lovely sunset. Came back and sat in the garden to just look at the night sky for a bit. Big purple streaks turned up around eleven ish (Liverpool)

Really about time someone mentioned Triffids.

Always swore if something like this happened I'd get an early night, but the Mrs and kids all want to see it...

We had them here visible from Bournville in Birmingham last night, lovely to see and nice for something so unusual in these parts. We are lucky to have seen them both times we've been to Iceland, but always special to see and especially so given the rarity
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me
