That pic looks like a male blackcap to me, but if it looks more like that cameroon thing it is likely a warbler of some kind - garden warbler, chiff chaff, willow warbler. garden warbler is not as green as the other two. They don't usually visit bird feeders to my knowledge, but maybe depending on surrounding habitat.

    Pretty unkind.

Is it's tail wagging? - Wagtail.  If not and it's wings are flapping, probably a flapwing.
Is it on fire? If so it might be a phoenix

It doesn’t look like the Cameron long tailed tit to me. The body in the blurry picture isn’t as rounded, and the tail is a different colour. I’d go with a grey wagtail.

My brother has an app on his smartphone that listens to bird calls and identifies them.  He was watching a couple of long-tailed tits out the back earlier this evening.  He thinks they are seldom seen around where I live and I've never really been aware of them before now.  They have really thin and tiny bodies and quite obviously lengthy tails for their body size.  These ones were smaller than a normal blue tit, so I think if it was a long-tailed tit it would have been apparent from its tiny size.

The Cameron tit has much more striking plumage.

But it was bright green / yellowy green on the top.

    That's the "Cameron Cunt".

You can't just call him a Tit any more, not since "austerity".

Now that is a definite possibility. If you can find a green wagtail you win.

I can't believe my, somewhat flippant, original answer may actually be the correct one. ..... and my school report said it was not a skill that would be any use to me. Take that DK Thomas.

Yellow wagtail is highly unlikely. Grey wagtail maybe if you have a pond. They hang around water. Just show a decent photo of the bird in question, it will be easy to identify.

Wagtails are easy to identify by their wagging tail. Crazy as that may sound. If it's not wagging its tail, its probably not a wagtail.
