Lekato Bluetooth guitar transmitter

Anybody tried one of these? Around £30-40 on Amazon, it's my Birthday next month and fancy summat to plug into my THR. Opinions please.

I have one and like it.  I bought it for living room use so I could move around more freely and could get rid of an unsightly cable, but I liked it enough to have used it on some gigs and rehearsals. I did have an issue with one that stopped working but Lekato replaced it without hassle.

Edit: I have a 2.4 ghz version. No issues. Maybe I've just been lucky, but based on my experience the 2.4 works fine and is a lot cheaper.

I’ve got one of these Lekatos, had it for several months.  It is blooming fabulous for playing at home with no pfaf. Will bring it to the SouthEast meet up in a few weeks

i have NO idea whether it is charging when they are in the box and/or the box is plugged in because they always show red, but always seem to have charge ?!

I'm really thinking of picking up one of these too, our rehearsal space for the new band is tiny, and leads are a real hazard ...

They're pretty much the same apart from battery life. Perhaps you got a dodgy one.

I've got 2 pairs. Don't know how that happened. But they're great. Only bad experience I had was at rehearsal when our bassist also had them and our Lekato signals interfered with one another and was just a whole heap of noise. So we played rock paper scissors to decide who would go have to go wired that evening. I lost.

It doesn’t feel as we’ll build as the other. It sounded fine for a week or so, but after that, just a (edit for typo) hissy mess regardless of amp or guitar. 

For only for the bin.

I've got the lekato ws80  - works fine - gigged a couple of times without issues, but I'll always have a cable on standby, just in case.

Apparently its a Gutiar transmitter! That must be the secret?

Pretty much what everybody else has said, they're great. I've got a 2.4GHz (given to eldest) and the 5.8GHz (kept for me).

There is a small difference in tone between them, with the 2,4 sounding slightly darker (similar to a long lead). So if I had to get a replacement I'd be sticking to 5.8 only, myself.

If your ears are highly sensitive to high frequencies, switching back and forth between your best Mogami cable and the Lekato, you will notice a very slight loss of clarity and high end in the Lekato. Having said that, although I can hear that difference, I happily use my 5.8 version all the time, and concur with every one else that this is generally excellent. Prices on Amazon at the moment, even with the 12% voucher, are a bit on the high side. Amazon prices fluctuate quite considerably, and I have seen them selling these for under £30 (the 5.8 one). I suspect that the current high price is in preparation for their Prime Day in July.

Is there much difference (sonically) between these and the Line 6 G10?  I've got one of those but, in true Philly Q style, I've never used it.  It's one of the early ones which is meant to burst into flames if you so much as look at it funny.
