It seems the only time you see them is either someone selling one on its own at a ridiculous price or someone selling a pair in great condition at a brilliant price but the drawback is they live somewhere Fuckin weird like Transylvania or Uzbekistan. Frustrating to say the least

Not a chance ( got mine just before the price hike (think I paid £120 then they went up to £220 and now have dropped back a it).
I have a vague recollection that at one point Thomann was selling them for about £95 or so. That's several years back, obviously. At the time when the price jumped I was kind of kicking myself, though luckily then the genz benz deal came up later which I took advantage of.

  • I'm looking for some new speakers but I want them to be as efficient as possible eg. 100db plus. Nothing too mid heavy and I'm not to keen on American voiced stuff. Anything you lot can recommend?
    Thanks in advance
    Bo
I might be missing the point here but why do you need 100db?
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • @meltedbuzzbox my new amp head kicks out around 28 watts so I want a efficient cab/ speakers to cover me when I need the extra volume. I don't see why manufactures don't make every speaker they make as efficient as possible. Unless it affects tone that is

    How many do you need?

I have a G12H aniv going spare if you only need 1 (it is the 16 Ohm version if that makes a difference).  30w rating and loud, not mid heavy.  M ight be what you need.  I took it out of a 2x12 where I had it mixed with a V30.  Loved the tone but the power rating was lop sided - so I put a G12H creamback in for a better.  The G12H aniv is just sitting in a box.

It does seem to, although it's not an exact correlation. Higher-sensitivity speakers usually have a bigger magnet to achieve that and have a chunkier, 'bigger' tone; lower-sensitivity ones generally have smaller magnets and are usually 'middier' and with less bass response. One exception is the Celestion Blue, although there are others - it's just a rough rule of thumb.
