Pretty crap to be honest. It's great for Jazz, but the Rock/Pop scene is very poor if you ask me. There are the usual high end venues, but trying to play in the bars/pubs is a nightmare as they are having more and more problems with complaints from neighbours. The smoking ban has done a lot of damage and has pushed people outside which causes most of the problems as the doors are opening and closing all the time. Playing with a drum kit is nigh on impossible, and the bar owners on the whole are a bunch of *****; well you know the score no doubt ;-)
