 Cheers @mike_l I think I did try the Tribute and Doombar whilst I was down that way, amongst a couple of others I've forgotten the names of, but they can't have made much of an impression on me as I cannot recall when I tried them. I'm all for trying new and interesting ales, and discovering in the process that i'm more a fan of the Indian Pale Ales rather than the darker types, plus I can drink regularly in the name of 'research' :-D

As this has become something of a 'recommend a good ale' then apart from my holiday find mentioned previously, I can heartily recommend Fuller's Wild River and Adnams Ghost Ship, both very fine IPAs and not far behind 'Proper Job' IMHO.
