Pics will be coming later, but it looks like a digital piano in polished ebony colour. Nice.

Sounds great, feels great, big and heavy. It's the older model. I just don't use it anymore!

So works flawlessly, has midi and stuff. Bad things - bit of felt above the lid has come loose. Bit of glue should fix that but I'll leave it to the buyer. Doesn't really affect anything.

Retailed for well over a grand in its day (actually paid a grand for it used!), yours for...
£350?!

We just want rid of it really. Obviously, local collection preferred otherwise we'll have to sort a van or something. I'm based in Cambridgeshire.

And yes, offers still can apply. Seriously.

  • This here is a bump for a musical instrument you can use to make pleasing noises.  It's awesome. You want it.

    You need it.

Here are pictures to make you salivate.

At the very least, it's a great looking piece of furniture that doubles as a metronome in a variety of key signatures.  It'll make your living room seem more sophisticated.  It won't be long until you lose the Special Brew and start drinking brandy instead, while talking about the various models of pipe you prefer to smoke.

  • Bump for uber price drop - someone will be getting a really amazing bargain.

Buy it so I can get a double bed for sexy fun times! Or, you know, for more rolling around when sleeping.

According to the website (I'll get a tape measure out tomorrow to confirm) it's

    H: 1083mm
    D: 524mm
    W: 1445mm

With the music stand bit up.  I got it from this page in case you want any more details.

I'll measure it myself to make sure those are accurate and get back tomorrow :)

  • Also, the stand detaches from the keyboard, so it is easier to move about than it looks.  It's pretty big and heavy though ;)

  • Okay, measured up @TTony and those figures are accurate. :)

Thanks - but my PAS has been nipped in the bud, apparently "we" don't want a piano in the house

    :(

Sure you do, but it has to be a stage piano that can (in theory) be packed away when it's not being used.  So far I've won the argument on a Yamaha 105, which might turn out to be the new 255 when it actually gets bought, but not the far cheaper model in this thread because "there's no where to put it when guests come"

You don't need to put it anywhere if you go around your mate's houses instead.

    ;)

Is it playable with the stand detached, or does it need to be assembled for the pedals to work?

Hmm, good question. The pedals are part of the stand - so I'd assume it needs to be assembled.

However... I *think* (and will confirm tomorrow morning) there are inputs on the back where you can plug in separate pedals - so just use it as a posh keyboard, if that makes sense?

I'll check back tomorrow, and get a picture of the back, too.

Go on, indulge your inner classical muse.

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    That's exactly my problem.

It's not the price, it's "where would I put it".  It's just not quite as easy to hide as a guitar.  :(

put some plants and a clock on it and claim its a side board?
