Actually Seasick Steve's debut was pretty hot, and I loved that.  The lesser known (often last minute) artists (like KT Tunstall) are often the most interesting.

Some of these I don't remember at all, although I do have a tendency to record Later or watch it on iPlayer and skip a song if it doesn't grab me in 30 seconds...it possibly also shows how little effort they go to when they do those Later compilations on BBC4, that Radiohead clip must have been on ten different shows.

I saw a really good act in the past 6 months or so but can't remember who? Energetic music and the band leader was a black guy playing a lap steel of some type. Anyone remember?
