    In the bumf that came with it, Fender say it was a specification if guitarguitar to have the feel and tone of a 59 but with modern enhancements, so I guess that's why:-)

    Holy shyte that is gorgeous!  Just about one of nicest looking Strats that I have seen. I've got the Mexican version of that in the same colour, but yours is exceptional.  :D

    The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    I agree, although that style 'romanesque vase' is becoming quite common, however, they still hold a practical, as well as, aesthetic appeal.

    @Bogwhoppit I fuking hate that vase! The missus has no taste as you can tell by the Egyptian theme and sand coloured walls but I have to compromise as I am "allowed" to have the guitar in the front room,
