It's easier than an Axe FX etc etc.
The built in presets are a canny starting point but basically to set a patch up you have a choice of three channels, clean amps, crunch amps, and higher gain amps. There's not hundreds but maybe 6-8 in each channel. Tweak to taste then add effects if needed pre or post amp. Then there's cab sims if needed for recording/direct out but again not loads and loads.

Once you've got them though how quickly can you bring up a specific patch... Does it involve scrolling through them?

Yes if you don't use a midi controller. But you could save them all in a user bank and scroll through them as needed.
But with a midi board it's instant access to the patches.

Have a look at this link ...

Very interesting......very complicated but I guess once you've programmed it, should be easy to recall presets and control effects. Thanks.

Honestly, easier than most, set your fave patches then just tell the foot controller where you want them ;)
