What's your Tooth Fairy Exchange Rate? (Dadsnet Thread Alert)

What's Hot
My eldest lad lost his first tooth yesterday, so a sweet little note under his pillow and the tiny tooth replaced by a shiny pound coin this morning.

What's the value of human teeth in your household?

    £1.

    Tops.

(Though I gave him a fiver when his very last one came out).

    1 Euro, so 71p now ;-)

watch out for when the teeth come out when you're on holiday - tricky questions about how does she know where to come

Also trying to be too clever replying to inquisitive notes, as I did, in gnomish runes, then pretending to find the translation sheet so they could decode them
This later meant a few times remembering at midnight that I needed to do one of these, when a 6am start was needed for work

Ha ha. My wife's in charge of the reply letters. I'm just supplying the cash.

How sinister does that sentence look when shown out of context?

  • It used to be £1 but in the end my granddad was losing teeth at such a rate I had to cut it back to 50p.

My oldest has a couple of wobbly teeth now.  It's quite reassuring that you can still get away with a pound.

Yep £1 here. Have you seen how many teeth the little blighters have! Then multiply that by No. of Kids. We're talking a couple of pedals at least!
Handy Hint: When you get caught with your hand under the pillow swapping currency for said teeth. Just say you were checking to see if the Fairy had been yet.
Shot through the heart, and you’re to blame, you give love a bad name. Not to mention archery tuition.

When my son lost his first tooth he got 50p (all I had in his pocket)
His second tooth all I had was a pound
His third all I had was a 2 pound coin

He was then under the impression that it doubled each time.
That could have gotten expensive, thankfully his big sister (being the mean little so and so she is), told him
the tooth fairy didn't exist (and that Santa didn't either)
So I got let of the hook on that one.

I think we're paying £2, but we do vote Tory.

One useful side effect of being divorced is that on some occasions tooth loss has co-incided with a night that he's spent at his mother's.

Another handy tip there - get divorced....

It's £2 round here, which I'm sure doesn't match the 5p I used to get as a kid.

My daughter (12) managed to lose two teeth in two consecutive days last week. I did wonder if she was saving for something ....

Its been a long time but it was £1 for my offsprings, (well I think they are mine).

If I recall it used to be sixpence for us born in the 60's, didn't it?

A vox night train combo….if you're my dentist hating boss that is.  His Mrs has given him permission to buy a new amp if he finally goes to dentist and that's what he wants.

    I try not to judge.

£300. Total number of teeth divided by Inheritance Tax annual small gifts exemption x 2 (for me and Mrs Roll). ;)
