    Thanks, I think I probably watched that video when it first came out.

    It didn't help me though as he'd already got the snapshots assigned.  I ended working it out myself, I had to press the mode button.
    if you set it to snap/stomp (or stomp/snap) then Snapshots 1-4 are automatically put on those switches (either top or bottom row depending which way around you selected them) - you don't/can't go "ooh where woud I like Snapshot 3 to be..." - it appers where it's gonna be

    If you selected Snap/Stomp then make sure to allocate the indiviual stomps to the correct (lower in this I think) row or they'll be overlaid by the Snap selections (kind of obv but I confused myself once)
    Red ones are better.

  • i'm thinking of getting rid of my pedals and getting one these, I was a lot more creative with effects when I had a multi-fx. I'm a bit dubious about the reverbs though, I'm not fussed about big complex modulated and shimmer reverbs, a decent spring reverb is what I need. Looks like this just has the verbzilla algorithms, i've owned a verbzilla and liked it but not the spring settings. Can anyone confirm these are the vebzilla sounds, or whether there are any other good reverbs in there?

    There are currently 17 reverb models in Helix.  12 of those are categorised as Legacy (which I believe featured in the Verbzilla and other previous Line 6 products) and 5 were developed specifically for Helix.  "Good" is subjective but imo there are some "good" ones in there.

  • I just didn’t see anything in the way of spring reverb that wasn’t from the verbzilla, spring reverb is my most used effect, seems weird they are using a 20 year old effect in a high end product like this, for an effect that is so fundamental

    I think the reason this model hasn't  been updated is that it sounds really good, I use it a lot.  The newer reverbs are a bit more specialised.  There may well be an updated spring in the future

    Ganymede=RV6 Modulated
    Searchlights=Big Sky Cloud
    Double Tank=Big Sky Plate Mod
    Plateaux=Big Sky Shimmer

    I use the spring a lot as well and am also perfectly happy with it

    I do like the verbzilla, it was great in its time it was my introduction to big reverb and i've still got one, but i've had loads of spring reverb since and it just doesn't cut it on the spring front. As it is an effect that I always have one i'm disappointed that such a high end product hasn't taken advantage of the modern technology on the spring front.

    is the 63 Spring Reverb an old algorithm then? Didn't know that - I really like it

    I thought there was a stock helix spring reverb in there before they added all the 'legacy' older models? It just wasn't one of the new 'new and betterer' later helix additions?

    The one that was there before is the one that is now in the Legacy category.

  • Has anyone put theirs on a board? To use velcro ill need to remove the little feet..would this void the warranty?

  • I’ve got my Helix LT attached to a Warwick Rockboard with Velcro. I removed the feet from mine. It hasn’t moved at all since I attached it which is going on for 6+ months now.

    Ive no idea if it will void the warranty.

  • I had to return first one as the preset push button didnt work on arrival so im a bit paranoid about the warranty

    I use 3m dual lock and didn’t need to take the feet off
    even so It wouldn’t void the warranty unless the claim was about the feet.
    line 6 have a video instruction on how to fix a squeaky pedal that involves opening it up.
    Frank Ritchotte is a customer service legend for line 6 as well and they have a pretty good record of looking after people

    I've been gigging my Helix LT for acoustic guitar and mandolin. God it's good. And I can run it through monitors at home to practice/record with.

    Easily the best bit of guitar gear I've bought in the last decade.

    I can't believe nobody's on here talking about 2.8 already

    KOT and Zendrive models caught my eye

    No idea what a Revv amp is but people seem pleased

    The "Digital Igloo pet feature" is a great idea - assign any button to be any DAW control key. Start and stop backing tracks/recording?

    Also some core update means blah blah blah but that HX Stmp can't go beyond 6 blocks "...yet..." - implying it'll be possible in future
