Thanks guys really appreciate the decal comments.
Not sure I want to embarrass myself with a soundclip , but we`ll see.
And here she is , still needs a bit of fiddling , but otherwise complete.
Not meant to be a faithful reproduction , just close to it , with a couple of tweaks , using "modern" parts that weren`t available at the time.
This shot came out nice , looks old.

Couldn`t resist a b&w one , and yes I know ,
the vol knob is about 2mm out , I will get around to redoing it .
Weighs in at just over 7 1/2 lb , I`ve buffed the Tru-Oil finish to satin on the body and back of the neck ,with wire wool,
Looks like a one piece solid Ash body , but is actually two piece , you can`t see the join unless you look at the end grain , one reason I chose it.
I bought the body and maple neck , both Mighty Mite , for a pretty good price ,off a guy on ebay ,
a project he never got around to............. think I`ll send him some pics.
And I`m really please with the locking tuners , they are rock solid at staying in tune ,and still vintage looking.
I`ve kept the electrics simple as you can see , just volume and tone , with cts pots , orange drop .033 cap , and one of those new-fangled sockets , with a couple of screws to hold the bugger in place .
I can always add pups , switches and stuff at a later date if I want (and probably will - LOL) .
Neck is a comfortable C shape , not too fat , with a modern radius , I think its 10" or thereabouts, and the fretting and nut seem spot on so far.
Still needs a little work on fret polishing and intonation , I haven`t adjusted the truss rod much , it was almost there when I set it up , I don`t know if it will move after it has "settled in" , we`ll have to see, but the action is good , not lightning fast but I`m happy with it.
Anyway a big thanks to those who have helped me out with advice (still made a couple of cockups , but nothing serious), and also opinions , sometimes another viewpoint helps. >-
