Interesting mix of approaches in this thread..... some people are offering genuine, heartfelt opinions, some are being ironic, some are just taking the piss.  The problem is figuring out which is which.

Rap - a meeting point of shit music and shit lyrics.
David Bowie hasn't done anything other than change his hairstyle and trousers since "Heroes".
Queen ripped off The Sweet and Led Zeppelin.
    Fusion is unlistenable.

Nobody likes my Solos of the Month, but I think they are ace.

    :))

And I really like early Twisted Sister, I think mainly because of the simple riffs, Dee Snider's singing and the fact they recorded everything on Marshalls set at 11.

I really like '70's KISS too.

    And I love Country

As for not liking stuff, not a lot apart from modern mid scooped guitar tones.

Guitar music is the last refuge of boring middle-aged middle-class white men and public-school drop-outs who are trying to kid everyone they're cool. No-one else cares about it.

(For what it's worth I could be put into both those categories so it's arguable that I know what I'm talking about.)

"Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone." - Walt Kowalski

Holy shit, what have I started?

Ed Sheeran is a really talented singer, songwriter and guitarist. His leads are understated and perfectly fit his songs.

Ratt are the greatest rock band ever.

Freddie Mercury couldn't sing and had to use autotune on every track.

Stairway to Heaven was actually written by Richard Steed. Led Zep ripped him off.

I love the Beatles, but I'm not really a fan of the Stones.

OK Computer is a shit album.

The only Metallica albums worth listening to are Kill 'Em All, And Justice For All and the Black Album.
