The Beatles were revolutionary.  They changed the public's perception and attitude to popular music like no-one before or since.  And they wrote some extremely good songs.

Reggae is really rather good - lots of rythmn and great to dance to.  Check out Willie Nelson's reggae album

I can listen to Hank Williams all day.

Bob Wills was a genius.   Asleep at the wheel are chanelling that genius now.

I have never got David Bowie's music thinking, on the whole, his music is shite.  Ditto the Smiths, Florence, James Brown, EvH, Vai, Satriani.

I'm not sure whether Roy Harper, Lyle Lovett or Eric Clapton is actually God or not.

The only consistently good Queen album is "Greatest Hits".

Right Said Fred's "Up" is a classic (and believe it or not features Motorhead's Philthy Animal Taylor and Graham Bonnet, who also mixed the album).

Stretching the topic (sorry) ......Pedals are over-rated. Often it is like putting Ketchup on a fillet steak. (I used to love pedals so this could be an age thing).
