We are at a performance of Puccini's Turandot this evening and it's absolutely great.
Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

I have to say it's a style of singing that I really really dislike. I find it pretty unpleasant to listen to.

Went to see La Traviata last week.

Whole bloody thing was in Italian. Couldn't understand a word of it.

Then last night I went to Die Fledermaus. Don't speak any German. 100% gibberish.

What a pointless artform opera is, eh?
Without opera there would be no glam rock/heavy metal. Checkout YouTube for a BBC documentary on metal and how bands like Sabbath were influenced by Opera ..

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!
