Thanks J! I agree. I think right now they're a bit too 'poppy' and need smoothing out a bit with some saturation.

It's a tough one.  I think it could be great but by the same token they transition enough to not 'need' them.  Because of the number of transitions it could be quite a hair-pulling experience to write lyrics for them in the current arrangement if you didn't already have that in mind before recording.

Yeah definitely, the snippet you posted before was sounding pretty decent. Course you'll have to solve your  tap dancing and singing live issues then I suppose

I agree, the snare's kind of roomy/distant midrange was what I picked up on in the previous mix. Much better now.

For my tastes, I like kicks to be less clicky. But it's your baby and it does work!

Also, you have to put vocals on it.

We've got 9 tracks. Only one of them will have vocals, the rest are instrumental. Just how we roll

Sounds great drew, the only thing i would comment on is the kick just doesn't seem to be sitting right for me but i cant really put my finger on what it is! 

Its a great song and a great mix though! Good work buddy

Cheers matey. Yeah I've toned the clickiness of the kick down since the latest mix - that might be the issue.
