Great song - like most of their entire output - shouldn't be a guilty pleasure!

Although it's not the album this is off, The Innocents is one of my all-time favourites.

It's a while since I've seen one of these too…

    ABBA.
Right now in my truck, blasting out on an empty industrial estate beside the Thames Barrier.
Tomorrow morning at 4am as I'm leaving Woolwich behind and heading for the (now open) Dartford tunnel, it's going to be the EPIC, original......
    War of the World's !

Aside from them, it's Sarah Mclaughlin, England Dan and John Ford Coley (Pick up the pieces ) (NOT the same song as the average white band), The Captain and Tenille, Randy Crawford, Kim Carnes, Judi Tzuke, Alan Parsons, The Vapours, Toy Dolls, Moody Blues, .................

I will be back when I've dug some more out.

For those who remember some of the above, enjoy your evening on You Tube.

    :)

I quite like some of Phill Collins' stuff. Great vocals on Mama.
And you know what else? Those safety lids on bottles of sanatogen. There I am trying to get the lid off and along comes my six year old and says "there you are daddy" and it's off in a Jiffy. Someone's gonna get hurt.

Technically that's Genesis ;). And that's a very good album.

I agree though - at least about some of his earlier solo stuff.

For what it's worth none of this is 'guilty pleasure' material for me. I don't have guilt about anything I like :).

    No guilty pleasures for me.

I like all sorts of cheesy pop music. I've done rock covers of ABBA in a couple of bands.

I don't feel at all guilty but it's a real pleasure. Can I get a pass? Muscle Shoals House Band playing.

The 4th one (Goodbye Lullaby) is pretty good too.

    Some of Taylor Swift's songs…
'Style' is fantastic. Not so keen on most of the rest I've heard.

    Yup, love that.

T'Pau and Transvision Vamp for me...big school boy crushes might be the reasons there.

From this week's charity shop round…

Holly Valance (Footprints) and Selena Gomez (Kiss & Tell)

Selena Gomez is better - a bit like Avril Lavigne, typical very well produced girly power-pop. Holly Valance is so-so and might end up going back. Got Taylor's Swift's 'Red' for my daughter too but I'm not so keen on that, most of her songs I don't like seem to be on that one.

Even though it was bastardised for a Yellow Pages ad, I've always liked this. The song itself has an interesting history.
