Edit: musicians only. In which case just...

Met Dave Gedge from the Wedding Present at one of their gigs, I was a really big fan and my older sister's boyfriend knew him well. I was only a kid and he made a point of coming over for a chat. Lovely bloke.

It's no afternoon tea with Lemmy, I know.

Many moons ago i met and had a cigarette with John Lennon and Yoko Ono at Marylebone magistrates court, that was way back in 1968 ish, John was very nervous and Yoko asked if i could spare a smoke for John, yes it was a Rothmans, we had a smoke together.
That is my claim to fame.

I sort of met my (then) hero Robyn Hitchcock at the Hackney Empire in 1988/89? My 20 year old self was so in awe of him that I could barely speak. He posed for a photo and was (much to my relief) very nice.
I also met the guitarist from Carter USM (Fruitbat?) when I supported them in 97. He too was a thoroughly charming bloke.
Nearly forgot but also met Louis Eliot from Kinky Machine/Rialto. He told us a story about how he'd snorted coke off Lemmy's thumb! He's some sort of Lord don't ya know (Louis not Lemmy) but he keeps very quiet about it.

Also Al Perkins, Slim Whitman, Rodney Crowell, Buddy Miller, couple of the iron Maiden guitarists were there when that pic was taken with Albert, they were watching as well. I didn`t ask them for a pic, as I wasn`t sure who they were, my mate had to tell me :\">

  • Our bass player has a photo of himself posing with Alex Lifeson during Rush's first uk tour in 1977. He and his mate sneaked into the soundcheck, got rumbled by security but got to meet the band.

Recently. Andy Fraser: He's been my favourite bass player since his Free days. Thoroughly nice bloke, although I probably embarrassed myself by rambling on about old Free gigs I'd seen him play. Deke Leonard: I think the drugs have taken their toll, but a very friendly guy.

In the past: Lemmy, Tony McPhee, Mickey Moody, Jennifer Batten, Brian Eno, all the guys from Eddie and the Hotrods and the Hamsters. All approachable and easy to talk to. Except Lemmy, who was an arrogant tosspot.

there is a Peter Green lookalike who wanders around B'ham city centre quite a lot. A few times I've seen people pointing and saying to each other ooh, do you know who that is..?

Yep, I ran out of famous people early on so going for lookalikes now.
