    Here's Superstition by Stevie Wonder. This video shows the main parts and how you can play approx versions of the horn lines in the songs as well as the main riff and chord structure.

    A good one to learn this for dep players as this song (at least for me) comes up all the time

    Cheers.  Got asked for this last week and I was tempted to say I'm waiting for Danny to post a vid...

    I don't like the song and have avoided it for years but can really see it's usefulness in a repertoire - and deffo one to know if depping, so a great choice to break down on video like this.  Can it work in one-guitar band do you reckon, or does that sound too thin and empty?

    Nice video.  What's the auto wah that you're using?

  • The Stevie Wonder version came up on the radio a couple of days ago and I went to turn it off but sat through it, I think, cause I could imagine having to play it one day. And here we go. I have played it before but sooo long ago I'll have to have a go at how Danny does it.

    @Grunfeld

    Phil X's rocked up version sounds ok for one guitar, trying to do a faithful version would probably sound a bit empty

    Here's Phils version

    That auto Wah is a plugin mate, Waves guitar Toolbox :)

    That's a bit tasty.  Just looking at some of his other covers now.

    (Cheers for the auto wah info too... I have a Funky Monkey somewhere....)

  • @Danny1969 That version of Superstition is pretty much how I play it, although the chords I play under the "If you believe..." section are slightly different:
    |-----------
    |--7-7-7-5-5
    |--8-9-8-7-6
    |--7-8-7-6-5
    |-----------
    |-----------

    That might be what's played mate, I think I have probably simplified it into the basic chords I used for that bit
