Freddie King was a massive influence on Eric Clapton, so has probably had as much impact as BB, without necessarily being as well known.

My head says Freddie but my heart says BB.
I saw an ancient clip in a documenrary of BB trilling 1 note....for ages..... in some small club. The impression is that the left hand is very powerful and that the amp is LOUD and right at the sweet spot. Must have been really something to see the young BB in a small venue.
