Best thing I've watched today is Chas n Dave's Christmas special, currently still on Channel 5! Bloody great. Happy Christmas.

Indiana Jones? It's never been about that??? I watched 2 films with my kids that I enjoyed, Brave and Madagascar 3.

We had one - black and white (well, sort of shades of greeny-grey really) with an 8 inch screen in a wooden cabinet the size of a fridge-freezer.  It took about half an hour to warm up.  I can remember watching Andy Pandy and stuff.  They could only transmit about 4 hours a day though, so it was 2 hours afternoon and 2 hours early evening.

Me and the wife watched the new Luther which was,in fact, bloody excellent.A bit of Z Nation and American Horror Story and that was our Xmas tv sorted.We don't do traditional round here.

When I were a nipper we used to make our own entertainment and we'd count ourselves very lucky if we got smallpox or tuberculosis for Christmas. Even luckier if we got penicillin for it.

Today has been spent having a family war on anki overdrive, what started as a quick run to show my son how to play turned in to 3 hours of me, my boy, wife and daughter having a 4 way battle until we decided we had to eat.

Things are much better than when I was a kid
