    Lemme see....

Triumph combo, can't remember much about it but it distorted a lot.
Simms Watts 100 head + 4x12. That had Fanes in it, I always wished it didn't.
    HH 100 + 4x12
    Fender Twin Reverb
    Orange 100 watt head
Peavey Deuce. Had this modified by Peavey, and gigged all over Germany and Austria with it.
    Music Man RD112
    Fender Showman (tranny combo)
Mesa Boogie Mk IIB. Latterly I used this with a 1x12 EV extension cab. Owned this amp for 12 years.
    Fender Super-Amp
Fender Vibro King. Loved this amp, but ultimately too loud and heavy. Again owned it for 12 years.
Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb reissue. Never thought it sounded that good, my silverface is much better.....
    Fender Deluxe Reverb '72
Fender Tweed Twin reissue. Good amp, but never bonded with it and sold it to a good home, but at a loss of course.
Dr Z Maz Sr head/1x12 cab with Celestion Gold. Best amp I've owned.
Dr Z Carmen Ghia head/2x10 cab. Used the head a lot in the studio, otherwise it's my backup.

Think that's it. 45 years' worth. I still have the '72 Deluxe Reverb and both Dr Z amps/cabs. I may replace the Ghia head with a Maz Jr/reverb head in red, if one comes up at the right time.

    1) 10 watt tanglewood practice amp.  New, decent enough for what it was, sold. (Hondo strat, sold)

    2) Laney GC30. New, liked it but sold. (mexican strat, sold)

    3) Marshall G215 RCD. Loved it. New, sold. (Korean epi sheraton. Loved it, sold).

    4) Marsdhall G215 RCD. Didn't like it. I think the electrics had been fiddled with, 'cos on this one the headphone socket was after the     onborad fx. Second-hand from ebay, sold. (Chinese epi sheraton, disliked it, sold).

    5) Laney LX35R. Hated it. New, sent back after less than 1 hour. (Rally Neosound. Not bad, but a few little niggles. Prolly early chinese version or very very late korean (as in 'ran out of made in korea' labels).

    6)  Peavey Envoy 110. Not keen on it. A bit too hissy and too many different settings to be able to 'get on' with it. New, returned after several days. (Rally Neosound. As above).

    7) Laney GC30. Like it. (Same Rally. Looking to get Entwistle HV58's in and deal with niggles).

    1) Marshall MG15RCD. Bought with my first guitar aged 14. Accutronics spring reverb with actual springs, no DFX. It wasn't a bad little amp.

    2) Ashdown Fallen Angel 60 2x12 combo. In hindsight, it was crap. It had a little VU meter, though, and so I was dead chuffed with it at the time. I sold it to buy...

    3) Vox AC30CC head. Brian May made me want to play electric guitar, so I'd always wanted an AC30, but the Korg ones were out of my league. When they announced the new, affordable, CC range I was first in line. The heads are comparatively rare. I loved it. I sold it to pay the rent one month while I was erroneously living in London.

    4) To enable me to continue playing guitar, I bought a silver-stripe Bandit off some bloke for £50 as a stop-gap measure. I fell in love with the clean channel and loved it about as much as I had the Vox.

    5) '74 Fender Silverface Princeton Reverb. The Fender thing comes to us all sooner or later. I loved it a bit too hard. Wrong love. I tried to love it with new transformers and general fucking about. Poor thing needs the attention of a good amp doctor now. I will be doing that this week.

    Where do I begin?!

    Combos

    Marshall MG10
    my first amp

    Marshall AVT100
a special edition blue one - was brilliant, but I was younger and hated the hefty combo vibe. I really did dig the scooped metal tones you could get from this amp though and it served me very well as I started gigging. I still wish I had it now, but I sold it to make way for a head and cab setup.

    Line6 Spider 15W
bought for home practice - was excellent for jamming and bedroom noodling, however I made the mistake of letting a bandmate borrow it, only for it to go mysteriously missing... I am not in a band with this person anymore...

    Heads

    Marshall MG100HDFX
No, I don't know why I bought this either. I sold it after two days.

    Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier
This was a lovely amp to look at, but it really did disillusion me about the quality of mesa gear, as this amp was the single most unreliable piece of equipment I have ever owned, and probably ever will own. I am sure this is not the case across the board of course...had it repaired and sold it for a hefty loss after falling completely out of love with it :(

    Peavey XXX
Excellent amp with some brilliant sounds, It worked better than my previous Mesa had and I could get so many great tones out of it. I kept it for about 18 months before the opportunity to get my hands on a mk1 5150. I jumped at the chance and sold it on...

    Peavey 5150 mk1
This was my holy grail amp. I was always a sucker for a 5150 or a 6505 tone, so I was in seventh heaven while using this for gigs and practicing. Far too loud to use at home. Sadly, 12 months later my band split and I was left with a monstrous amp and nowhere to play it. I sold it on the proviso that I would pick one up again in the future...

    Laney GH50L
When I got back into a band, I had the opportunity to try out a Laney GH50L in my local guitar store. I loved the sound of the GH100Ls, as they seemed to be able to pull off a decent JCM800 like tone, as well as a tone pretty damn near to a 5150/6505. I bought it about three years ago and It has been my trusty amp ever since. It has been sent back to Laney once in it's lifetime, but I will always keep hold of this amp. Love it.

    Blackstar ID60 Head
I bought this as a gigging backup when my GH50L decided to stop working. It covers home practice and gigging really well, and although it is now surplus to requirement, I am a bit torn as to whether I should move it on or not...would recommend this amp to anybody looking for great tone on a budget.

    Cabs

Marshall AVT 4x12 Cab - sold
    Marshall JCM800 4x12 Cab - sold
Framus Dragon 4x12 Cab and Case - sold
Harley Benton 2x12 Vintage - current

    Hmm

No Name practice amp thing - sounded ok at the time, but ultimately rubbish

Marshall MG15 - So very loud, not too bad, the reverb was ace

Vox Pathfinder 15R - Best solid State home amp, started me on "the quest"

Line 6 Micro Spider - awful, just awful

Vox Valvetronix AD100VTH - pretty good but never used to its potential

Blackstar HT5 - great little amp, would happily have one again

Vox Lil Night Train - as above with Blackstar HT5

Vox AC4tv - a good amp, though I bought it for a purpoise which never got off the ground. Still have this

Fender Hot Rod Deluxe - Best amp I've had, hands down. Still have this too

Wangs VT15 head - not bad, but not what I needed. Best name ever for an amp

    OK I'll play.

10w practice thing.  Speaker buzzed from day 1 so swapped for a 15w practice thingy.Swapped plus cash for a
H&K Attax 80 (still owned, in a shop for sale)
Marshall JMP100 1973 (sold.  This would literally shake the walls by the time it went into OD.  I used to have a 20ft guitar cable and go in another room to play with both doors closed.  Neighbours weren't too happy :D )
    Peavey VT Deuce (sold)
Mesa Nomad 45 (still owned, in a shop for sale - still not sure, but it's cumbersome and takes up lots of room..)
Mesa Stiletto Deuce (still owned, occasionally flirt with selling/trading, but I keep going back to it so it will probably stay.  Downgraded the Recto cab to a Blackstar cab, which sounds tons better, IMHO)
    Cornford Hurricane  :)
    Two Rock Studio Pro 35 :) :)

Would prolly go for something nice at 50w if it came along, but it would have to be rather special.

Marshall MG10 - first practice amp, no frills, was actually not that bad.

Marshall Valvestate 2000 50w combo - first amp of any sort of gigging volume. Decent enough distorted tone, very average and sterile clean, built in reverb.

Line 6 Spider IV 100w 2x12 - God knows why I bought this. Utterly, utterly awful in every way. Loafs of effects though so I enjoyed playing with those

Blackstar Series One 45 combo - really nice amp, I guess my first real valve amp too. Sounded good at everything, but not great. Lightweight for a 2x12 too.

Marshall JVM210h - despite liking the Blackstar a lot, I'd been brought up on Marshall so when the chance to get their flagship came, I jumped at it. Very versatile, crazy amounts of gain, again the clean wasn't great to my ears. The lead tones were heavenly though.

Mesa Duel rec reborn - I absolutely loved the 'pushed' clean mode on this - I'd spend most of my time just on that channel, completely neglecting the channel that made these famous. It sounded great and I'll get one back one day.

PRS Custom 50. - incredible clean channel, lovely reverb, lightweight and the high gain really sang, could not get a good crunch out of it whatsoever though, and ultimately that's why I sold it. Brilliant amp though.

Bogner Shiva 20th Anniversary - had this for a while now and it's going nowhere. Amazing clean, amazing distortion, boost on both channels, does everything I've ever wanted an amp to do and is reliable as hell. I'm currently looking at amps but they are to complement this rather than replace it.
