Visiting Poland in February (Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Poznan) Reccomendations?

Me and a mate are flying to Warsaw, hiring a car and then driving back to Berlin via Krakow, Wroclaw and Poznan in February.

Anyone have any tips or must see stuff? 

Good food, interesting soviet (and older) architecture, good beers, cool neighbourhoods.

When in Krakow, eat at Ed Red and visit Auschwitz.

When I was last there in the Winter, smog was a real problem.

I still have contacts in Krakow if you want any further, more local suggestions, esp. regarding beer

I've been to other concentration camps and seen enough, so I think we'll give Auschwitz a swerve.

Yeah, I couldn't face it either. Maybe one day...

Ed Red is ridiculously cheap.

Our polish neighbours recommended Krakow as the place to visit over and above all others so its good to see it on your list!

It's cheap compared to the UK, but it's not a budget restaurant.

Enjoy! Poland is such a beautiful country - definitely worth going.
All the cities You've mentioned above are generally worth taking a tour of.
All have a beautiful city squares with a numbers of restaurants to choose from. The squares are usually surrounded by one of the oldest architecture so You can take it from there. Soviet structures though are only the post-war ones so the there's far more interesting architecture objects to see (bear in mind that Warsaw, poznan, Wrocław - they suffered nearly total destruction during WWII).

People are nice, food is great and you'll have a great time I'm sure.
