I have no idea what drives me to listen to them, but I find myself capable of listening to Black Veil Brides and Blood On The Dancefloor. Two bands who are far bigger than they have any right to be...

I like quite a lot of Abba's output....
But none of those even remotely qualify as bad songs.

No, that's quite a good one. Remember that it's about the guy saying no to the girl, not the other way round.

'Tiger' is maybe a bad one though...

I know, I just think it's fucking rubbish :D Not big on "Thank You For the Music" either come to think of it, but still, what a band.

I loved Fuzzbox once they sold out and went pop.

Also Belinda Carlisle. Some cracking pop tunes there.

However, in terms of potentially embarrassing, I'll admit to this:

Well shit. I guess I'll be humming that for the rest of the day. As for the Nicky minaj fans and The Beleiber. Shame on you. This is a music forum ;)

Cliff also has Devil Woman, Wired For Sound, Summer Holiday and Living Doll which are all horrifically memorable :).

Cliff had a great run in the mid-70s through to the early '80s - he released loads of great singles (I think Alan Tarney produced them).

    Really good pop music.

Cliff Richard is one of those singers you don't particularly want to admit to liking but some of those early tracks as catchy as hell. @GuitarTango, that songs a classic, try again, you can do worse ... if you'd said the Lords Prayer I think everyone could agree

  • My mother is a big fan of Cliffy. I've heard almost all of his "output". He's worked with some very talented people and wrung out his career like a bastard. I've watched a lot of his interviews (also against my will) and I've always thought he was too smug for his own good (smiley winky thing with a sinister edge) ;)

His output with Alan Tarney is his best but also the earlier Norrie Paramour stuff has its moments too.

I've always liked Green Light and Carrie too.  It's true, that period he had working with the likes of Alan Tarney and Terry Britten was genuinely good.

Oh well, there goes my "embarrassing confession". Wired For Sound is one of my guilty pleasures- complete with the hilarious "rollerskating in brown leathers and a walkman" video.

EDIT:  make that "rollerskating in brown leathers and a walkman in Milton Keynes".
