Small snippet from an email I received last week:-

When I meet this bloke I will try to refrain from leveraging him but I think it will be tricky.

There is a theory that it was supposed to be said with the accent on 'could', as in, "I COULD care less, but it wouldn't do any good". But I agree it sounds awful. "Frankly, my dear, I could give a damn".
