Don't know how you define cheap but a second hand Laney L5T sounds lovely on clean with the right guitar. With my new Gretsch it's about perfect.

Providing you don't want crystal clean, like a little grease, then the Vox AC10C1 is a great home amp.

blackstar ht-1r.  cheap, great cleans.  very valve.  decent rock drive sound. Not too loud.

put it through a bigger cab for more clean headroom.  bedroom playing doesn't need more volume.
