Brian Johnson has been told he risks deafness if he continues to perform

The band say they'll get a guest vocalist to perform the remaining dates.

Any thoughts who could do it?

Real shame for the guy - they're not really my kind of band but I have the greatest of respect for them and Brian always comes across a lovely bloke when I've seen him interviewed.

Given all their recent problems, perhaps it's time to call it a day, whilst they are still recognisably the same band?

It's bad enough with Malcolm, but it really wouldn't feel like the same band with a different singer - the interplay between Brian and Angus IS the live show.

I think they should call it a day now.

That said, if they need a singer to finish the tour, that bloke from the other AC/DC tribute band Airbourne could probably do it...

He has knackered his ears through racing his car without his earplugs in, not from music...

"I've got hearing loss in my left ear. [But] I didn't get it from music. I got it from sitting in a racecar for too long without earplugs. "I heard my eardrum burst because I forgot to put my plugs in under my helmet. That's how it happened. "Music had nothing to do with it ... I was dizzy, my middle ear had gone, and I took my helmet off and there was blood coming out and I'd burst my eardrum."

Bollocks.

I've got (very expensive) tickets for the Etihad on 9th June....looking dodgy now. I've seen them a few times, but it was going to be the first time me and the missus had seen them together.

Think they should retire now if Brian can't gig.

Agreed. I know some can't get past the whole Bon Scott thing, but for me Brian has been an essential part of the band since 1980

I don't think it's time for them to give up. Fans will still come to see them, whoever they get as a replacement. I would. It is a shame about Brian, though. Top bloke he is,

Given they kept going without Malcolm I can't see Angus stopping because Brian can't tour. I do hope I'm wrong. I wouldn't be too excited to see a Ruddless, Johnsonless and Malcolmless AC/DC.

As to who'd step in, Angry Anderson?

If you are having fun then keep the thing going. Why should anyone else be allowed to tell you when to quit. You only get one life, so if Angus still enjoys it he should carry on.
