Why can't I post using my Android phone or tablet

Morning all, anyone know why I can't make posts using my mobile phone (Motorola G 3rd generation) or my Nexus tablet?

I've tried using Chrome, Firefox and Opera on both the mobile and full site but when I try to post anything I'm unable to add anything in the text box.

Is there a workaround?

It should work on the mobile version of the site.

It's an issue with how the keyboard is implemented on Android.

We will be releasing a new version that resolves the issue shortly.

I cant do it on the mobile site either. Im on my androud now though, what i do is go on full site, click the page button top right of the comment box and then i can post.

I only use a Hudl and Galaxy S6 nowadays. You have to enable the <> function in the tools (whatever it's called) or you can't post. Other than that I'm cooking on the mobile or full site.

I think it'll depend on what version of Android your device is running.

My Hudl is on 5.1 and my Galaxy S6 is on 6.0.1. if that helps.

It works fine onow my Galaxy S7 but not on my Pixel C tablet.

On the latter the keyboard pops up and down instantly but I can still paste stuff on.

I realise this probably effects 1 person on the forum and even as handsome as I am I don't think its worth looking into on my account.

Just though you may want to be aware (although you probably already are thinking about it).

I'll get my coat.......

Mine's the same. Works great on my android mobile and "quirky" at best on my android tablet. Very frustrating.

I've been having trouble posting using my android tablet. The keyboard pops up and then disappears.

If this post works then one solution is to use the dolphin browser.

Great I was having the same problem on my Android tablet, but it works with the Dolphin browser.

This problem is nwo affecting me if I use either chrome or dolphin (my only browsers). If I tap the comment box the keyboard pops up but then disappears straight away.

The get around I have found (to post this) is to tap the search box at the top of the page,which brings up the keyboard properly, and then scroll down to the comment box and then tap it the keyboard stays active.

I'm getting this as well now on my HTC one. Need to hit the <> button to disable all the WYSIWYG stuff in order for the keyboard to show.

I can't post when I use my Kindle. But that's fine as I usually just post shite anyway.

on earlier android tablets try Opera mini in extreme data saving mode, that's the only thing that worked on my old nexus7
on my newer phone its chrome and make sure "request desktop site"  is unchecked.
