    It's a custom shop serial number.

    The first digit, 7, says it's a '57 reissue.  The second digit, 2, gives the year of manufacture - 2012, or possibly 2002 (I assume it's actually 2012).  The last three digits say where it came in the building sequence for that model that year - so this was number 865.

    @Philly_Q has answered that question. Non-Historic Custom Shop models, such as the Les Paul Axcess, regular Les Paul Customs, etc. have serial numbers that begin with CS.
