Gibson Moderne 1982, Korina
Rare Gibson Moderne, unique opportunity. Never mind Gibson Les Paul, Issue, reissue, re, re Issue. R8, R9 etc. For something really different with the Gibson badge here’s the real deal and a real rare gem
Korina body and three-piece Korina neck with a wonderful medium-to-thick profile. Black-faced headstock with gold plastic “Gibson” logo and a unique four screw string-guide assembly. Three layer black over white, bell-shaped truss-rod cover with two screws.
The Gibson Moderne was originally designed and invented by Ted McCarty, President of Gibson Guitar Corporation through the golden age of electric guitars from 1950-1966.
Sources say the original 1957 guitars have all but disappeared, however, Gibson Re-issued the Moderne in limited numbers in 1982, so here’s your chance for a piece of guitar and rock mythology. Mint condition and original case and candy. Offers in region of £5500 invited.

Yamaha SG-1600 (Rare Wine/Plum burst, 1984, good condition).
On offer a rare Yamaha SG-1600 in Wine/Plum Sunburst finish, this SG1600 is another narrow neck, slimline version of the acclaimed Yamaha SG-1000. The Yamaha SG1000 was developed in the 1970’s, as the more rocky version of the Yamaha SG Range. The guitar has killer looks and is kitted out with top of the range Spinex pick ups, very which you normally find on the SG3000, and 2500. Due to the narrower neck, the guitar is easy to play, handles well and plays like a dream, light and fluid, and has been set up with low action.
The guitar is quite heavy, with a set neck and ebony fret-board, decorated with beautiful abalone position markers. It is overall a very pretty guitar and the white binding has slightly aged to a clotted cream colour and with the relatively clean plum colour and the slightly faded gold hardware make for a looker, guitar is in good and clean condition. Price £1650 ONO. Location Berwick upon Tweed, UK, can ship.

Yamaha Les Paul Model SL-450 (1979, Black, Good condition)
On offer a Yamaha Studio Lord SL-450, a great example of a Japanese Yamaha version of the Les Paul model from the late 1970s. Made in Japan, these guitars were produced during the 1970s and early 1980s, together with the well known Yamaha SG range; which was made famous by guitarists like Carlos Santana, Phil Manzanera, Al DiMeola, John McGeogh, Stuart Adamson, Bob Marley, Andy Taylor and many more.
Studio Lords are much more than Yamaha’s Les Paul copies, these guitars were produced to a high standard and quite often exceeded the originals; Yamaha LP’s are high quality, easy to play and solid-build guitars with lots of mojo and a noticeable vintage vibe. This particular model is awesome and has 2 powerful pickups giving it a wide tonal capability. Location Berwick upon Tweed. Comes with vintage Yamaha gig bag. Price £ 595 ONO.
