Lazy J advice please

Extension cabs ........are the 2 inputs next to the existing amp to speaker jack for extension cabs or foot controls
I am naive about ohm rating ......the speaker in the combo is 8 ohm right........what ohm should the extension cab speaker be ?
Do you have to disable/unplug the combo speaker if using an extension cab
I have a twin 12" cab with 2 Eminence Alnico speakers in it that has a 16 and 8 input ......how would I use this in conjunction with J20 ?

Those are outputs, DO NOT plug any footswitches into them! The foot switch for reverb and or trem should be hard wired in already.

Your extension cab needs to be 8ohm and you plug it in along side the internal speaker jack, no need to unplug the internal speaker.

So that you can have 2 speaker cabs, no it doesn't matter which one you use as long as you make sure to match ohms

2 outputs are for 2 speakers. One should alredy been taken up by the on board speaker of the combo?

    Is that my original LJ?

If so, the other hole is for a toggle that jesse fitted for a universal transformer, i think.

I believe that if you use both outputs (both should be into 8ohms cabs or speakers) then the amp will be putting out 4 ohms ie slightly quieter than its normal 8 ohms output. You could just use one output into the 2x12 8 ohm cab for the full monty. Although whether the difference in volume or tone is noticeable when the amp is putting out 4 as opposed to 8 ohms, I've no idea!

From the Lazy J manual .......SPEAKER JACKS:

The speaker is connected by a ¼” plug, located on
the underside, between the pre- and power tubes.
Right next to the main speaker jack, there’s an
extension speaker output to connect an extension
cab (8ohms), as well as the reverb Jack.

Every amp sold in the UK should have a user manual available for safety reasons.
