Had the iPad posting workaround stopped working?

When I tap the little red <> the entry box goes white like it used to, but when I then tap back in the posting box it reverts to yellow/unformatted entry :-( 
Red ones are better.

    It keeps flipping back randomly. You just have to keep tapping the red arrows to get it back.
