Advice and thoughts please. *strictly no piss taking*

I have bought recently the MarkL rack 12/2 looper. It's stunning.

I tend to use floor dirt pedals (Pete C) and the go into rack for mods and delays. I have, however, 6 loops going spare, so I could rack all the pedals including the PC's and then get a decent midi controller?

It means less in chain, all isolated. Neater.

Only the midi swticher on the floor. Dead easy

Thoughts?

That sounds sensible. Faster setup and less vulnerable to beer spills.

As you have the loop it makes sense to add a floor controller - I assume you can then program it and remove tap dancing pedals at the same time.

I have nothing to say on this topic other than to take the piss.

But as you have also posted this item to a Facebook group, I assume it is the truth and the best guitary-thing I will hear all day.

I play bass. Do I need one?

No. You're a bassist. All you need is a friend.

I think it's the logical next step in creating a very complex rig which will then, in a moment of frustration, need selling off immediately and replacing with a back to basics approach*

    WWDGD?

    Do that.

Didn't you go down that road once before and then decide that it was overkill for your needs?

Does anyone make a grey MIDI controller with letrajet/dynamo labels though? And will the red LCD be too much colour for your feet?

I'm in the middle of doing this in my office / playroom. Thomann's Thon rack doesn't shout I'm a fugly outrage in a home, gets all the mess off the floor and generally helps with my minimal visible cabling OCD :)

I'm willing to bet half my frets that if you do that, you'll soon revert to a simpler pedals on the floor setup. I get the feeling you're a stomp on the pedals and go type of guy.

  • @Gassage Man, it's really helpful reading your posts, it makes my gear-purchasing and flipping completely tame by comparison. :)
