Walking down to the beach at Comillas  yesterday to see everyone leaving the sea and a warning on the tanoy, seconds later we see what looks like a very large shark about 50ft from the shore, just circling and doing its thing. Wow, don't think we'll be going to that beach again......

Aye, people forget that there's some pretty big sharks in the Med. Attacks are rare though, and sightings are often later confirmed as very large tuna! Often wondered why such massive fish get sold in such tiny cans

To be fair it could have been North-East Spain. :-) Though getting there direct from Plymouth would take a while.

Plenty of marine biologists have suggested that the Med may even a birthing ground for great whites as it's almost exculsivley been females and juveniles that have been caught there.

The beaches are beautiful, very much like our own in blighty, unspoilt, except the sea is warm, just got back from a swim.
