If I may?..Should anyone want or need to change the valve* in one of B's HT pedals it can be done from the top. I do NOT recommend anyone try dismantling an HT-X! They are quite a puzzle to stuff back in!
They don't look it but the wee,wee screws are a perfect fit to a pozi #1 driver, don't lose them! . With a small flat blade driver and a bit of fiddling the valve can be removed and a new one fitted. If you find getting the wire clip back on is losing you hair and causing blue air, leave it off, the clip is really only needed during shipping.
*Do NOT fit other than an ECC83 in there! The associated resistors are by necessity very small and low rated. Easily capable for the 83's current but don't push it!
