Thinking I need a buffer.
My attempt at making one failed with my clumsy soldering skills!!!
Has anyone tried this one?  CODA selling it for £79.
I like the variable option to tweak high end focus.
Please let me know if you like it or if you prefer others.
thanks for your help.
Jon

Jon, buy a tuner such as the boss tu3. stick it in your chain where you need it. 2in1 done.

I assume you amp has a tone control of some sort?

As Thorpy says, buy a tuner (other buffered pedals are available) and don't get suckered in by everything you read, until a few years ago no-one even knew they 'needed' a buffer

    Cheers guys...point taken!
Have a Polytune as first pedal, and my LJ20 has one tone control, probably sorted then!! Saved me some cash today...ta

Fairly sure the Polytune doesn't have a buffer (someone may correct me) so you've picked one of the few tuners without IIRC.

If you want a separate buffer the Fredric Effects one is tiny,  £40,  based on the Klon one and seen on a few boards on here.

Totally depends on your set up and what you want/need. But I always have a buffer that can serve another function. In my case a Suhr ISO Boost and an Archer do the trick for me.

+1 for the Fredric Effects buffer. Does the job nicely and made in the UK.

Yes - no buffer in a polytune

yeah that's my philosophy as well- buy a pedal which has a buffer you know you like, and that way you get a pedal as well.

out of what i've tried, i like the one in the EHX soul food (which i'm guessing is the klon buffer).

If you can find one, the MI Audio Buff n Boost does a buffer and mid, clean and treble boost all in one box.
